From what I remember reading on css.net, it is an entirely bad idea to plug the silencer holes with anything. It sounds like it doesn't add any performance but adds the possibility of having whatever you plug the holes with damaging the rotors or housing.

I'm not trying to be negative or anything. Just relaying what I have heard and it kinda makes sense to me.

Yeah... the problem is that the good way (i.e. welding) could cause distortion to the supercharger housing and wreck the entire thing. all other options could cause some problems which sucks. I hear that it makes it louder. Was that the intention of the mod?

Ya there is no benefit to doing this except making the SC louder if that's what your after. The risks totally outweigh the gains.

what kind of intake setup do you have? Mine is a screamer! It's a full 3" with AEM dryflow filter.

On a side note, I also have NIB K&N CAI that I never opened......

I recommend to not do it.
There is a 50/50 chance they will fall out or chip away, causing issues.
