No more Delta (Part 2)

So I picked the car up on Friday, insurance went on at 5:48PM, I drove it to work and back Saturday, then Sunday I drove it to Maidstone... 30 minutes into the ride back to Stoon at 5:48PM the engine went on it, sounds like stuck lifters.

Interesting to note when I pulled the cars info off the web, it was the Orange SS that was traded in from La Ronge haha.

Shitty deal, taking it back?

Find out later this morning, I just told the tow truck driver to leave it right in front of their main doors so they had to move it to get in... Except I have the keys, and it's locked, braked, and in gear haha.

When I was pulling my plate off, there was a nice coating of coolant mixed with shit on my trunk lid, so I think a head gasket went.

shitty, is there warranty or are they giving you warranty for the engine, I guess they really have no choice by law, so hopefully everything goes smooth for you.

Appparently my new Orange Cobalt has already had $8100 worth of repairs done to it. I'll probably still end up keeping it though heh.

Yeah this is pretty bunk.. When i heard about this yesterday it kind of made me get mad.. like who sells, or in that matter who trades in a car that is about to go bad?

Well update on the situation, SMP just decided they weren't going to do anything about it... Except it's taken them two weeks to figure that out. So I would never do business with them.

HOWEVER, I'm working with GM head office on the warranty, and am told I would be getting a call tomorrow about a decision. Red Tag has actually been very good, they plan to replace the motor if GM won't; We'll see if they hold up to their deal if it gets down to that.

So I've had an Orange Cobalt SS/SC for almost three weeks now, but I haven't spent more than a few days driving it haha.

Pretty typical for SMP... or any Saskatoon dealership for that matter.

Hopefully they sort this mess out soon.
